2026 CMA Board Call for Nominations: The Council for Museum Anthropology invites nominations (including self-nominations) to serve on the CMA Board! DEADLINE to submit your interest and information directly to the CMA is Feb. 21, 2026. The CMA must submit candidate info directly to AAA by February 28.
CMA Board positions in the upcoming AAA elections are:
· Two At-Large Board Members (3-year term)
· Secretary (2-year Officer term)
· Treasurer (2-year Officer term)
· President Elect (2-year term, followed by 2 years as President and 2 years as Past President).
Terms begin on immediately after the AAA Annual Meeting in 2026 and the first board meeting is in early 2027. If you are interested in learning more, serving in one of these positions, or would like to nominate someone else as a candidate, please email CMA President/Nominations Committee chair Christina Hodge (christina_hodge@brown.edu) ASAP. Candidates must submit 1) position running for; 2) a CV/Resume or similar list of relevant interests/fields; positions; and publications, 3) a 250-word platform statement to the CMA before February 21, 2026, in order to meet the AAA deadline.
