The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) is developing an exhibition about cellphones. The exhibition will explore how they are made, how they are used, and how they influence our lives.
Your consent to take part in our research is needed. Your participation is voluntary. We are asking you to take part in a study because we want to hear from you about your experience with cellphones to help us develop an exhibit that will be interesting for people 13 – 24 years old.
There are 10 questions in this online survey, and it should take about 3 minutes to complete. There are no risks or benefits to you directly for participating in this survey. Your responses will help us to develop a better museum experience for visitors to NMNH. Your responses are reported to us anonymously. We will not ask for any personal information that would identify you. We plan to display aggregate results of this survey in the exhibit.
Please talk this over with your parents before you decide whether or not to participate. If you don’t want to be in this study, you do not have to participate. Remember, being in this study is up to you and no one will be upset if you don’t want to participate or even if you change your mind later and want to stop.
