The Field Museum Integrative Research Center seeks
a one-year (renewable) postdoctoral scientist with PhD and research
interests in the roots of globalization, urban societies, and
preindustrial economies. This postdoctoral appointment is scheduled to
begin in January 2014
.

We are looking for a junior scholar with strong research potential and a
record of publication to cultivate a collaborative dialogue by building
a Chicago-based Colloquia series focused on thematic interests.
Ideally, the candidate would also engage in collaborative extramurally
funded research programs with existing Field Museum curators and publish
both collaborative and individually.

Projects that take advantage of museum laboratories and facilities are encouraged.
